188. Contributed by Jason:

Now a truck taking up a handicap lot. Selfishness seems to be the order of the day, when parking a couple of lots away to do the deliveries is not difficult at all. Maybe it's the special customer service training given by the gas-cylinder company that teaches its drivers to park indiscriminately.

I recommend for HDB to concentrate its efforts to catch these illegal handicap lot idiot parkers - HDB would be able to collect enough in $400 parking summonses that it can issue free season parking to all the residents!

Taken at AMK Blk 232 on 25 April at about 10:45am.

Looks like the car parks of Woodlands 888 and AMK 232 are hot spots for inconsiderate drivers, parking-idiot contributors or sleeping car park aunties.

HDB! park your enforcers there! sure make monthly quota in a week!

Sometimes i really think you people fuxking no understanding. So next time you alighting your aging parents or grandparents at someplace or wait for them to come over people snap your pic etc and other childish people like poster 4 and start cursing and give insensible comments, how you feel? For this case just be understanding... its such a heavy container and they might be pushing trolley need the slope there. Imagine yourself in this senario pushing a baby pram or something...

www8scorescom, make sure you don't alight anyone at undesignated area... otherwise they're handicaps like what you claimed. Alight people only at alighting bay and parking lots... not road side, otherwise your parents and children or future children if you going to give birth to will be handicap. You need the parking lot. BTW why inconsiderate? I mean alighting only or unloading, did i mention parking in handicap lots is good is right???

I think we should be more understanding to delivery workers like these. No doubt they park on handicap lots, but c'mon, its just a few mins, not a few hours. If any handicap users need to use it,I'm sure the delivery driver will immediately remove their vehicle from the lot.Personally,I think it's a waste of resources reserving space for less privillage users who aren't going to use it for long people.Macdonalds' understood this situation and made their limited toilet cubicles in some outlets disabled-friendly so that everybody, abled or disabled, can use the toilets.Afterall, who's going to spend the whole day in the toilets?

if the driver is only alighting passengers and moving off, fine.
if the driver is delivering and is ready to move the vehicle immediately, fine.
if someone called the authorities, they come and the vehicle is still there, then obviously the driver is none of the above.
if a handicapped driver comes along and cannot find a place to park and alight and so what he or she needs to, what happens?
i have a suggestion in case people still insist on parking on handicap lots (i agree that IF the car park is full, its a waste to have an empty lot), leave their contact number on the vehicle windscreen so that the handicap user can call the driver to move the vehicle. failing which, call the authorities.
there is no need to call the civic minded people here names and use coarse language. Understanding goes both ways... the drivers featured here do not seem to exhibit that.

welcome to the club! You've got a stalker!

Think these stalkers nothing to do but go around take pot shots.

Then again, guess they're probably the idiot parkers!

imho, i think the problem is this ...

there are cases where people who deliver goods would rather park in a handicapped lot to load/unload the goods because
1. it is nearer to the ramp which they need to use
ii. it does not block the traffic in the carpark
iii. there are no vacant lots available
iv. it will only take 10 minutes or less

i have also seen cars parked in the handicapped lot with the drivers still in the car waiting for someone or something ...

i think it is recommendable that they tried not to block up the carpark ... especially when some carparks have really tight space and no more vacant lots ...

but if we allow abuse of the handicapped lot, then when and where do we draw the line ...

"is parking 5 minutes in the handicapped lot acceptable to you?"

"most of the time, the handicapped lot is not used anyway what, i just used it for a while ..."

"i need to load and unload my stuff, it should be acceptable"

i cannot tell you how many times i have been tempted to just park in a handicapped lot, especially in places where finding vacant parking lot is near impossible (aka suntec)

but i do not think i can park without having the guilty conscience that someone who needs the handicapped lot is being forced to go else where to park because of my action ... (of course, not able to afford to the fine plays an important part ...)

i agreed with one of the contributors to this blog ... we should be more considerate to other users ... then all these idiotic parking will cease ...

also, one thing we can seek to change is to get the authority to improve on their enforcement of errant parking ...

i had called HDB to report about illegal parking in the handicapped lot, it took them 40 minutes to send someone to investigate, by then the driver had driven off ...

does anyone has similar experience?

I think the creator of this web site is someone works for gorvernment, this is 1 of the method gorvernment now use to earn civilian money i think. I saw all of his photo and some were being fine quite alot of money from parking.

People pls stop sending pics and stop gorvernment from squeezing out our money in this way! We already have alot of carpark summoners URA, HDB,TP... Dont send in any more pics! summoners will just visit this site and write down the vehicle number and send a summon! STOP THIS people! You won't want to be the next victims..
