044. Contributed by Fire Phoenix:

I do not know whether to laugh or cry at this Merc. He should have parked at the corridor of the shop instead of the pavement, at least then the car won't get wet if it rains!

Taken at Serangoon Road on 26 March 2005.

I think this is the correct way to park in his situation

Probably one of those shophouses areas where there's not enough parking lots. I'll rather the merc park this way than to be blocking the traffic on the bus lane.

This is a common situation in countries like Korea, Thailand, Taiwan and even Japan. There's nothing wrong with it. I think some Singaporeans are too over critical about doing this and that. At least he's not obstructing the traffic and pedestrians. Right? He might be the owner of the shop house. So he has the right to park right in front of his shop. If he can display his products outside his shop, I don't see why he can't even display his car by parking it there. Don't be too over critical. Singaporeans should just travel around the world to see just how people living in other countries park their cars and yet not obstructing others.
