Here's a fake Lexus. The idiot Harrier owner is a wannabe Lexus showoff by sticking the emblem in place of his original Toyota emblem. No class... just like his parking.

There are no way to ID the real McCoy from the Wannabes from the supplied pict but some of the clues if you guys wanna go witch hunting...
1) left front kerb mirror is absent in the lexus
2) just peer slightly under the rear bummper to see if ther is a sparewheel cover
3) steering wheel emblem.... most are too cheapo to change the whole steering wheel as it means changing the airbag system as well
4) tonneau cover
5) the way they drive......most lexus rx300 drivers do not have anything to prove.... thus drive leisurely..... whereas those 2.4 harrier (rebadged) seem to have inferiority complex resulting in some antisocial driving behjaviour eg road hogging, swerving in and out of the traffic as if they are minicoopers, trafficlight racing?

isnt harrier the parallel import of the lexus rx300. so u cant blame them la. they thought same car so can hiong abit.

If you are near the car, look at the windows, normally at the lower corner, it will print the make of the car, Lexus or Toyota. Unless they willing to spend money to change all the windows.
A 2.4L(A) Toyota Harrier is good enough for people who can't afford the real Lexus RX300 :)

For the uninformed idiots who type as if they know it all, tonneau is found in both rx and harrier models. Replacing steering badges need replacement of front plate only, not entire airbag system as one idiot pointed out. In Japan, the RX300 is a 3 litre TOYOTA HARRIER. In fact, toyota only made the harrier in 2.4 2WD and 3.0 4WD. Lexus is a brand excercise by TOYOTA, Lexus singapore simply took a 3.0 harrier and rebaged it as a Lexus RX300 to bugger the extra 10+k out of unknowing idiots. Go figure

In Japan, there's no Lexus, only Toyota. Lexus is the luxury division selling Toyota cars outside Japan.

This guy has been around for quite some time..making trouble..always threatening but NO ACTION.
I was driving a Volvo S40, S60 before I switched to Harrier. It is the packaged from the parallel importer with the badge changed. I bought Harrier cos Road tax is cheaper and definitely not worth paying to LTA. Regarding the price of Lexus vs Toyota Harrier, is not really much. Anyway.....i think Volvo is a better car.
There really isn't much else we can do when other drivers park indiscrimately or behave like idiots when driving etc. No use getting angry at them. If we have valid proof, like these photos, report to the authorities to have action taken against the errant motorists. Personally, we can have a good laugh at these idiots and sometimes maybe even pity them for such idiocy. My favourite way of having a good laugh at them is .... check whether there are any outstanding summonses against them in Malaysia. Go to http://www.rilek.com.my/pdrm/IPC/PDRM_SummonsInq.jsp
and choose "Vehicle No" at "-Please Select-" and then "Non-Malaysian Car Plate No" at the next "-Please Select-" and then type in the vehicle number, e.g. SQ8988H, then click Continue. You will see some of the idiots have outstanding summonses against them since year 2000/1/2. One day when they drive into Malaysia again, they will probably get detained and won't be released until they pay the fine(s). RK
