057. Contributed by Paul:

What a bone-headed truck driver! Parking his truck in such a way that makes it so tough for others to park. See his huge side mirror? If a large car as an SUV or MPV were to park there, it may get damaged by the mirror. And in a crowded carpark like this, sometimes there is no choice but to squeeze into such lots as this.

Taken at Toa Payoh Central carpark near the NTUC, on 1 April 2006 at about 6:20pm.

Hey, fault does not lie with lorry driver (though most of them are morons). HDB carpark lots are non-standard, they are 2.2 wide compared to standard LTA guidelines of 2.4m. Having said that, my car has got lots of souveniors, most from inconsiderate morons. The tall truck does most damage to your front bonnet, as after they open the door, and climb in, the sharp corner of the truck "pinches" your bonnet and your wallet. That's one reason why you should park head-in.

Some Lorry driver know how we CAR owners feel when we park near them, BUT their passengers doesnt. So if you got a chance to park at the last lot in the carpark with no other lots, try not to park on the left side of the lorry(ie, next to lorry passenger door) else if you get a ding or pinch from their passengers, dont say I didnt warn you...

I should have taken another pix of the back of the lorry. It protruded to the back forcing the car parking behind to eat out a bit.

This is not a small pick-up but a medium size lorry. Surely lorries of this size are not supposed to park in a standard HDB carpark. Are they not supposed to park at designated heavy vehicle park?

There was even a Prime Mover parked in the same car park (minus the trailer). I should have taken a pix of that too but he was parked just nicely in a parallel slot but effectively no one else can parked in front or behind him.
