I'll reserve judgment on this photo. This Mitsubishi Colt driver felt that it is better to park on a pavement, rather than in the driveway of the house. True - it is not really blocking traffic, the way it is parked, but it is blocking pedestrians from walking on the pavement. Any comments from the readers?

Taken at Windsor Park Road, off Upper Thomson Road. Submitted on 11 April 2006.

Making pedestrians walk on the road, risk getting knocked down by other other motorist... NO BRAIN NO BRAIN! Walkways are for pedestrians, NOT FOR CARS!!!

In my opinion, I think someone should get a saw and cut the portion of the car on the pavement away.

The driver shouldn't complain. From what I can see, he/she still gets enough of steering wheel to put one hand on it.

i must say that this driver is very good at parking. not much drivers can park so close the railings and not get damaged by it.

but it is illiegal to park on a pavement, so good luck to tat driver!

at least he tried to be considerate by making way for the road, but didn't think of the pedestrain.

verdict: not an idiot

my definition of a parking idiot may be different from this blog or many people out there for that matter.

my believe is that for any selfish car owner or driver that parked his/her car irresponsibly for their own convenience and inconvenient others or may caused potential dangers to other road users is classified as a parking idiot.

in this case, she parked the car on the pavement meant for pedestrians. she may not be blocking other cars but she has inconvenient the pedestrians by forcing them to walk on the roads and exposing them to potential danger.

to me, this is a selfish act of parking and therefore is an parking idiot.

remember, you need a license to drive a car but you do not need a license to walk.

Actually, for those who are complaining about the blog - the solution is simple: Just park properly and with consideration to others, and this blog will cease to exist...
